Floor Protectors

Support your furniture, such as chair and table legs with wide-bearing, non-staining floor protectors or wide-bearing leg bases/rollers to prevent denting, crushing and scratching of your floors.  Protective chair pads at desks are recommended by all carpet manufacturers.

Routine Cleaning

Vacuum and sweep your floors on a daily or weekly basis to minimize abrasive particulates.  When using cleaners, be sure to rinse and dry thoroughly to avoid leaving a residue.  Most importantly, be sure to read and follow the manufacturer's directions for care, cleaning and recommended products for your floor.

Get Spills Up Fast

The best cure for a spill is a quick response. Blot and clean spills and spots as soon as possible to prevent staining. Start at the outer edges and work in to prevent from spreading the spill.

"Thank you very much for your excellent service that you provided when we purchased new vinyl flooring in April.  ...  Our new flooring looks absolutely beautiful, and is so easy to clean up, despite the best efforts of our two preschoolers.  The installation process went very quickly, from setting up the date of service to the installers arriving and finishing the job within 3 hours.  Also, you offered us the best price in town on a premium Mannington vinyl.                                                                                          We will definitely refer our friends and neighbors to you for their flooring needs.    Thank you again!"                                                                                        Sincerely,                                                          Brandy Ewell

Proper cleaning and maintenance will add years to your floor.  DMA recommends that the manufacturer’s product information be followed for proper maintenance and care of your new or existing floor coverings.  Please click on the manufacturer’s tab on this page to find the manufacturer of your product and click on the name to link to their website where the specific product maintenance and care information can be found.  Below are some basics to follow to keep your floors in great shape for years to come.

Entrance Mats at Every Door

Doormats outside and inside each entrance to your home or office will prevent dirt, sand, grit and other substances such as oil, asphalt and driveway sealer from being tracked onto your floor.  These particles can cause abrasion and staining to your floor covering materials.

Take Care When Moving Heavy Objects

Dolly’s, air sleds or just a piece of hardboard like quarter inch plywood all work very well to protect your floor covering when moving heavy appliances and furniture in your home or business.

Eliminate Direct Sun Exposure

When possible keep the curtains or blinds closed to protect your floor coverings from fading or discoloring.
