Epoxy Flooring and Polished Concrete Divisions

DMA Floors is excited to announce that Paul Coviello has joined our team to meet the growing need for epoxy/resinous flooring and polished concrete.

Paul brings 26 years of experience and has extensive knowledge in construction: (1) evaluating concrete slabs, (2) supporting the A&D community in the design and documentation of polished concrete specifications, and (3) helping customers get the right finished concrete floor for their specific need. He is familiar with every facet of construction and can identify pitfalls before problems arise.

In his leisure time, Paul is a husband and father of 4, an amateur photographer, history buff, and fitness nut. You may find him on the soccer field, ski slopes, along a hiking path, on a boat, or underwater with scuba gear on. One fun fact -- if you wish to learn about commercial shell fishing, he’s your guy.

DMA Floors officially launched the Polished Concrete Division in 2012 and remains a quality-oriented contractor for commercial and municipal projects. The demand for epoxy/resinous coatings and polished concrete will continue to increase year-over-year.*   Durability, safety, lower maintenance/life-cycle costs, and aesthetics drive this trend from both new construction and renovation projects.

DMA Floors handles all types of floors from polished, stained and sealed concrete to epoxy to carpet, vinyl, wood and ceramic tile.  If you are interested in learning more about any flooring finish, please connect with Paul or any of the DMA team.

Take a Walk on the Plank Side | Covenant Woods

Covenant Woods in Mechanicsville, Virginia renovated their Lodge in June 2020. They elected to remove carpet and modernize the common areas to a glue down commercial vinyl plank. With a high traffic area and many residents with wheelchairs, this upgrade truly transformed the entire space!

DMA Floors Project Manager Jessica Bronner worked one on one with Covenant Woods to design multiple patterned insets to make this elegant space stand out. The project consisted of 14,000 square feet and was completed start to finish in just 12 days thanks to Dre and his crew.

Covenant Woods chose a combination of Patcraft Woodland View for the restaurant and conference room and J&J Classics for the lobby and hallways. The two products compliment each other nicely and help each individual area come to life!

This project was just one of many between Covenant Woods and DMA Floors. This year DMA has also completed a large renovation in the Manor and a renovation of the swimming pool. DMA appreciates our repeat customers and strives to provide the best service in town!

Multi-family Living in Luxury

DMA Floors Kitchen and Bath Luxury in Williamsburg, VA

For the first time in 30 years, the annual supply volume of apartment rentals has peaked due to lifestyle renters: people who rent by preference, not by necessity.

They are financially stable, have disposable income, enjoy on-site conveniences, and seek modern amenities, including upscale kitchen and bathrooms. This trend cascades into housing for college students and timeshare resorts.

Two properties that meet the needs of this growing segment are High Street Luxury Apartments and The Holiday Inn Club Vacations Resort timeshare, both in Williamsburg.  DMA Floors is pleased to be on the team to bring these plans to life.

High Street Luxury Apartments

DMA Floors and Henderson, Inc. teamed up to complete the High Street Luxury Apartments for Commonwealth Properties in Williamsburg.

We installed Roca ceramic tile for the kitchen backsplashes and Armstrong Luxury Vinyl Tile for the kitchen/living room/bathroom floors.

In the bathrooms we used another Roca tile for the shower and tub walls. Everything came together to create some stunning apartment units, in large part due to the collaboration and coordinated action displayed by Henderson, Commonwealth, Project Manager Millie Rice, and her group. This was a great project for DMA Floors!  #DMAFloors #williamandmary  #ArmstrongFloor #rocatileusa

The Holiday Inn Club Vacations Resort

This high-end resort showcases intricate ceramic tile work by DMA Floors.

Once again, DMA Floors partnered with Henderson, Inc. construction company for a new 4-story building, with 24 villas and six Signature Collection 3-bedroom villas to meet the needs of growing families.

Henderson, Inc. contracted DMA Floors to install floor and wall materials in all units. Featuring a beautiful and sophisticated ceramic tile design, Project Manager Millie Rice, her team of dedicated installers, and support staff worked meticulously to maintain consistency in the patterns and transitions. The shower (pictured here) is from one of the signature units at the resort. The tile is manufactured by Adex and we used Mapei Corporation’s epoxy grout and setting material to complete the installation. #Adex #Mapei

$70 Million-plus Expansion at Cedarfield Senior Living Completes Another Project #dmafloors #Shockey_Builds #Daltile

DMA Floors celebrates another successful project with the installation of creative tile work at Cedarfield Senior Living Retirement Community in Henrico County. Pinnacle Living’s flagship facility is undergoing a $70 million-plus expansion; a state-of-the-art health and wellness center is a part of that.

Howard Shockey and Sons contracted DMA Floors to provide flooring and wall products for the new wellness center, including the pool area. The mosaic wall tile is a Daltile custom blend of Gradient glass tile selected by Bonnie Cauthorn’s team of designers at Design Source Inc. located in Richmond Va. As evidenced in the photos, they have contrasted the bright blues of the glass mosaics with a washed stone look in a large format porcelain tile to create a very eye-friendly nautical look. On the face of the jacuzzi, DSI has incorporated Daltile’s River Pebble to produce an almost organic feel for the residents as they relax in comfort and eye popping luxury. #dmafloors #Shockey_Builds #RVA #SeniorLiving #Virginia #Daltile #CMooneyDaltile
